Tear trough filler is made from purified hyaluronic acid, which is found naturally in the body. It can be used to reduce dark circles and brighten up ageing eyes. The filler is injected underneath the eye socket, towards the tear duct, leaving the area plumper and your face looking younger.

Tear trough fillers work by injecting dermal filler into the bags under your eyes. The filler reduces the appearance of eye bags by plumping up the skin and smoothing out fine lines. This can have a lifting effect, making you look less tired and more refreshed.

You will see visible results instantly after you have had tear trough injections. The filler product then takes around two weeks to fully develop under your eyes.

Tear trough fillers generally last between 6-12 months but can last longer depending on how your skin reacts to the product.

Tear trough fillers can have lasting effects for 6-18 months. However, every single patient is different, and some will experience longer-lasting results than others. If you want to maintain the uplifting impact of tear trough fillers, you should consider getting them done at least once per year.

We only use the market-leading brand, Juvederm.

Dermal fillers can be risky, especially if they’re not done properly. There are plenty of beauty therapists performing filler treatments at the moment and the truth is, they’re not properly qualified and have likely only taken a 1-day training course. If filler treatment is not done correctly, risks can include blindness, infection and the need for surgery if not injected into the correct area.
